Zac Schrieber, a 2002 graduate of Louisiana State University, is currently in the midst of his third year as the Assistant Sports Information Director at Samford University where he serves as the primary contact for men's basketball, soccer and softball.

Along with the day-to-day duties related to the aforementioned sports, Schrieber's responsibilities also include overseeing the media relations aspects of the volleyball program and acting as the primary assistant with the football team.

Prior to joining the Samford Athletic Department in August of 2004, Schrieber worked as the Media Relations Assistant at the University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB) for one year. While at UAB, Schrieber served as the primary contact for the women's soccer and softball teams and acted as the media relations assistant during the men's basketball program's storied Sweet 16 appearance and thrilling upset victory over No. 1-seeded Kentucky.

Schrieber, a native of New Orleans, La., began his career in collegiate athletics by working for five years in the LSU Sports Information office as both a Student Assistant and Graduate Assistant.

While earning his bachelor's degree in business management, Schrieber spent a predominant portion of his time training in the field of media relations under the tutelage of LSU Sports Information Directors Herb Vincent and Michael Bonnette.
